Your local Employee Assistance Program Coordinator has numerous informational pamphlets on a variety of health care issues. The EAP Coordinator will be able to refer you to local providers and will know, or can quickly find out, which health insurance plans are accepted by specific providers. Often, your coordinator will have toured major facilities in your area, and is familiar with the different programs and services available.
Your local EAP Committee brings in presenters to speak at "brown bag" sessions on topics of interest to your agency/facility employee population. Some programs conduct annual "health fairs" where many providers from your geographic region are present to answer questions or offer literature about their services.
